OUR STORY

Carolyn, Mary and Judith met on the Pickleball courts of Marin during the Pickleball Pandemic of 2021.  As so often happens when sharing an interest, their enjoyment of each other's company grew and they arranged to play together more often.  The game became a vessel for their social and competitive and play drives.  Each of them became evangelists for -- and students of -- the game.

They took lessons and watched YouTube videos of instructors and tournaments showcasing the game's new champions. They got pretty good and entered some tournaments.  Most of the instructional videos they watched didn't capture the joy and skill and drama they saw in Pickleball.

But some of the expert play they watched was scintillating and irresistible. Carolyn became fascinated by a certain mother-daughter team that was quickly rising to the top of the major rankings.  She couldn't help but wonder: what if her daughter, Amanda, were to join her on the court, and what if she shared her love of the sport and what if she was competition-good and the two of them were a team and became kind of badass and started to grind it out, taking on progressively better teams, until they distinguished themselves at the pinnacle of Pickleball?

Naturally, it became vitally important for Amanda to learn her mom's game.  Carolyn and Mary and Judith got together to document Amanda's progress and to share important lessons along the way.  The team took the name PickleDillies, and their pointers became known as Dillies.
